Bobby’s mastery in music is evident, as his first album, “’n Duisend Ure”, (2006) reached gold status within a remarkably short period of time. Building strength upon strength in well-earned popularity, his second album, “Net Vir Jou”, (2009) quickly followed. His talent was proven in actuality, by writing and composing each one of the tracks on the album. The crowds loved it and album sales showed it as it reached platinum status within eight weeks, and have since reached double platinum status! Songs from the album include “Spieëltjie” and “Net Vir Jou”. Bobby is unstoppable and subsequently released another two platinum status albums “Wat Geld Nie Kan Koop Nie” (2012) and “Maak ‘n Wens” (2014).
Bobby has managed to rack up numerous awards such as Song of the Year 2013 Huisgenoot Tempo Awards, Album of the Year, Music Video of the Year, and Song of the Year 2015. The Ghoema Awards – Best Music Video, Pop Album of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and in 2015, the Huisgenoot Tempo Awards – Pop Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Music Video of the Year. The list is very extensive and a true testament to his artistic gifts and his ability to touch the hearts, minds and souls of all South Africans.
