For years The Campbells have been writing and singing chart topping hits, they have many platinum selling CD’s under their belt making them a household name and true masters of their craft. “Die Campbells” are Harry and Tony Campbell; they started playing music at a very young age with Harry on lead guitar and Tony on acoustic guitar and lead vocals.
During their high school years “Die Campbells” choice of music was spot on and their stage presence made them outstanding entertainers just waiting for the “big break to come their way”. And sure, enough in 2000 The Campbells were signed as recording artists and released their debut album during 2001.
The Campbells live act and their music appealed to both the English and Afrikaans markets and they decided to write and produce a few Afrikaans songs. Their second album “Rooi Rok Bokkie” was an instant hit. The Campbells became a household name and the most successful touring act of the year with more than 180 000 km of road travel in a calendar year. In 2010 the Campbells won a SAMA with their album Mamma Maria for the Best “Sokkie Dans” Album. They have also won 3 VAMT awards as well as 16 Gold, 7 Platinum, 3 Triple Gold & 2 Double Platinum sales awards. These well-deserved awards cement their place within the South African music industry.
